Tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing, food…it all adds up. Fortunately, financial aid is available for those who qualify. To apply and be considered for state financial aid (including TOPS and the Louisiana GO Grant); federal financial aid (including the Pell Grant, Federal Work-Study on campus student employment and low-interest federal student loans; and many campus-based institutional aid programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Financial Aid professionals from Louisiana institutions of higher education will be on hand during College Goal Sunday events to guide you through this application process. Computer labs will be open so that your electronic FAFSA can be completed and submitted on site before you leave the event.
With more than $60 billion available in federal aid (according to the U.S. Department of Education), financial aid can make college a reality by helping to cover associated expenses.
