M. J. FOSTER PROMISE PROGRAM
Application and Certification Form
The M.J. Foster Promise (Foster Promise) is a financial aid program administered by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA), a program of the Board of Regents. Foster Promise provides financial support for students to earn credentials that align with high-demand jobs in growing industry sectors, such as construction, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and transportation and logistics. Eligible credentials will be earned through short-term workforce training as well as more traditional academic degree programs no longer than 60 credit hours (an associate degree).
Applicants must first submit a FAFSA for the academic year in which they will be enrolled then the M.J. Foster Promise Application in order to be considered for the program.

The M.J. Foster Promise Program is close to meeting its eligible applicant goal for the 2022-2023 academic year. Applicants with an eligible application are placed on a reserved list based on application completion date and eligibility status. Once the eligible applicant goal has been met, any additional eligible applicants will be waitlisted. We will notify you if your status has changed from waitlisted to reserved.
