To assure that your Scholarship and Grant Policy and Procedure Manual remains current, please record this document on your TOPS Bulletin index and retain it with your manual.

In accordance with TOPS rule §1903.B.2 (and detailed in TOPS Bulletins T2000-17 and T2001-9), 2002 summer term payments may be made as detailed below. Beginning this summer, Institutional Payment Requests for 3S2002 and 4T2002 should be submitted via the TOPS Portal through July 11, 2002. Payment requests submitted subsequent to July 11, 2002 must be submitted via a Manual Payment Request. All Manual Payment Requests are subject to delayed processing.

When submitting requests for summer payments, please note the following:

• To be eligible for Summer Session payment, students must be eligible for the upcoming award year (status code = 01 and OTE status = 1S2003).
• All Prior LA Honors Recipients (Award Level OH) enrolled in 6 or more hours are eligible to receive summer payments.
• All TOPS eligible students enrolled full-time at a Louisiana Technical College (LTC) campus and all TOPS TECH students pursuing vocational or technical training in an eligible TOPS TECH program are eligible to receive summer payments.
• For all other TOPS Recipients, the student must be enrolled in a Qualified Summer Session as defined in TOPS rule to receive summer payments.
• Summer Session payments will be accompanied by stipends where appropriate and each summer term paid will advance the student's term count.
