2000. Last Day to Electronically
Certify 1999 High School Graduates on LOSFA’s Web Site: http://www.osfa.state.la.us.
The Web function is presently inactive and will remain so until May 15, 2000.
MARCH 23,
2000. Letter forwarded to high schools
soliciting their participation in electronically certifying 2000 High School
Graduates of
Academic Year 1999-2000 on the Web.
APRIL 1,
2000. DEADLINE
for High School Grads of Academic Year 1999-2000 to achieve TOPS qualifying ACT
score. The minimum
TOPS qualifying scores for Award Year 2000-2001 are: 19 for TOPS TECH; 20 for
TOPS Opportunity; 23 for TOPS
Performance; and, 27 for TOPS Honors. Graduates of Out-of-State High Schools and
students completing
BESE-approved home study programs must score 3 points higher for each award.
APRIL 15,
2000. Last Day for receipt
of Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Federal Processor for
PRIORITY
PROCESSING.
APRIL 15,
2000. DEADLINE for
institutions to return Program Full-Time listing described in TOPS Bulletin
T2000-05 dated March 15,
2000.
APRIL 22,
2000. DEADLINE for High
School Requests to participate in electronic certification of TOPS applicants
via the Web.
MAY 1,
2000.
DEADLINE for High School Graduates of Academic year 1999-2000 to achieve TOPS
qualifying SAT score which may
be considered in lieu of an ACT score. Students planning to utilize SAT scores
must notify SAT to forward scores to
LOSFA.
MAY 12, 2000. Final TOPS MASTER ROSTER processed for academic year 1999-2000.
MAY 15, 2000. Final TOPS MASTER Roster for 1999-2000 is available for electronic retrieval.
MAY 15, 2000. 1st Mailing of the High School Certification Forms to schools that will manually certify their Graduates of 1999-2000.
MAY 15,

Electronic High School Certifications for Graduates of Academic year 1999-2000
are available to high school counselors
at http://www.osfa.state.la.us.
MAY 19,
2000.
Final Bill Processing Date for students on the 1999-2000 TOPS Master Roster.
Billing processing suspended after this
date until June 2, 2000.
MAY 29, 2000. 2nd Mailing of the High School Certification Forms to schools that will manually certify the Graduates of 1999-2000.

Initial processing of TOPS applicants and renewals for Award Year 1999-2000.
Resumption of processing of 1S2000,
2S2000, 1T2000, 2T2000 and 3T2000 billings.
JUNE 5, 2000. 1st date for students to check eligibility status at http://www.osfa.state.la.us.
JUNE 5, 2000. Initial TOPS MASTER ROSTER for Award year 2000-2001 available for electronic retrieval.
JUNE 30, 2000. Final processing of regular 1S2000, 2S2000, 1T2000, 2T2000 and 3T2000 billings.
JULY 1, 2000. DEADLINE for receipt of 2000-2001 FAFSA’s by Federal Processor.

processing of regular 3S2000 and 4T2000 billings (prior LA Honors recipients are
the only students eligible to be
billed for this term or semester).
