INTERGRATION UPDATE-TECHNOLOGY CENTERS COMBINE MAY 11-13

Over the last five months, Sallie Mae has been consolidating its loans and those of the former USA Group onto a single loan servicing system. They are now announcing that this project has been complete. The next step in the integration is combining both technology centers into one location: Fishers, Indiana.

As a part of this process, all Web applications that access Sallie Mae's mainframe system for disbursement and servicing data, including applications such as Laureate, wiredscholar.com, and all Internet Self-Service applications will be unavailable for 11:00 pm (EDST), Friday, May 11 to 11:00 pm (EDST), Sunday, May 13. Files received through the File Transfer System via SallieNet will be held until normal processing resumes on Sunday.

It is important to note that guarantee and disbursement information that is accessed through NetWizard will be available during this time. However, servicing information will not be available through NetWizard.

You are encouraged to contact the customer service professionals with product and service-related questions. If you are using Sallie Mae's suite of products, please call 888-2school. If you are using USA Group's products and services, please call 800-824-7044.
