Disaster Areas Declared in Arkansas, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and Tennessee

 

To assure that your Common Manual remains current, please record this document on your LPM/LPB Index, and retain it in Appendix E of your manual.

Due to severe winter weather and flooding, the entire state of North Dakota has been declared to be a disaster area retroactive to February 28, and the entire state of South Dakota has been declared to be a disaster area retroactive to February 3. In addition, the President declared the following 21 counties in Minnesota to be disaster areas because of severe weather and flooding that began on or about March 21:

Minnesota:
Benton, Big Store, Brown, Chippewa, Clay, Kittson, Lac Qul, Perle, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake, Roseau, Sherburne, Stearns, Swift, Traverse, Washington, Wilkin, Wright, and Yellow Medicine.

The President has declared the following five counties in Tennessee to be disaster areas because of tornadoes that struck them on March 28:

Tennessee:
Bradley, Hamilton, Polk, Sequatchie, and Smith.

The President has declared the following county in Arkansas to be a disaster area because of severe flooding that began on or about April 4:

Arkansas:
Ouachita

A list of designated disaster areas for borrower-initiated 90-day forbearances under the guidelines first outlined in LOSFA’s January 28, 1997 LPB is complete as of the date of this letter. We will notify you if additional areas are designated by the President or FEMA.
