Disaster Areas Declared in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia

 

To assure that your Common Manual remains current, please record this document on your LPM/LPB Index, and retain it in Appendix E of your manual.

Earlier this month, 13 counties in Arkansas were declared to be disaster areas because of tornadoes that struck that state on March 1. Many other counties in six other states also have been declared disaster areas because of severe flooding caused by heavy rains that generally began in those areas on or about February 28. Since the March 17, 1997 LPB additional counties in Kentucky and Tennessee, as well as parts of Illinois, have been declared to be disaster areas. The following list of counties reflects the information we have obtained from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as of the date of this letter. The counties added in Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee since the last notice to you have been CAPITALIZED.

Arkansas:
Clark, Cross, Greene, Hempstead, Hot Springs, Jackson, Lonoke, Mississippi, Nevada, Poinsett, Pulaski, Saline, and White.

Illinois:
ALEXANDER, GALLATIN, HARDIN, MASSAC, and POPE.

Indiana:
Clark, Crawford, Dearborn, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Ohio, Perry, Posey, Spencer, Switzerland, Vanderburgh, and Warrick.

Kentucky:

The list of designated disaster areas for borrower-initiated 90-day forbearances under the guidelines first outlined in LOSFA’s January 28, 1997 LPB is complete as of the date of this letter. We will notify you if additional areas are designated by the President or FEMA.
