The Guarantor and Lender Oversight Service (GLOS) of the Dallas Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) has asked us to alert you that an insurance company ploy has resurfaced in our area. In it, insurance salespeople are promising parents a student loan for their child if they buy an insurance policy.
If you hear of such activity, you are asked to report the affected students or parents names and phone numbers to Mr. Ben McPherson, Dallas Regional Office, USDE, at 214/880-3083.
