To assure that your Common Manual remains current, please record this document on your LPM/LPB index, and retain it in Appendix E of your manual.

Lenders and schools were alerted of an ineligible school on an LPB dated August 4, 1997. LOSFA has now been advised that the U.S. Department of Education has reversed its decision to declare the school ineligible to participate in the FFEL program. The school initiated an FY 1994 loan servicing and collection appeal. Since that appeal has not yet been resolved, the school is in fact eligible to certify and disburse FFELP loans. When the Department has reviewed the loan servicing appeal it will make a final determination on the school’s FFEL program eligibility. Please correct your records to show that the following school remains eligible:

National Education Center (NEC)
Bryman Campus, #011121-02
2322 Canal Street
New Orleans 70119-0000
