TOPS Tech Early Start

TOPS Tech Early Start Funding will be available for the 2006-07 award year for qualified public high school juniors or seniors who dually enroll in a program that provides an occupational or vocational education credential in a TOP Demand Occupation offered at a public postsecondary institution. The TOPS Demand Occupations are the same as were determined in the prior year and can be found on the LOSFA website at www.osfa.state.la.us/SandG.htm. The students’ application may also be accessed from this site.

The following dates will be used for this award year:

2006 Fall Semester
  July 24, 2006 TOPS Tech Early Start Portal open to accept fall semester reservations
  September 11, 2006 Schools may submit payment requests for enrolled students
  October 6, 2006 Portal closes and payment processing begins
   
2007 Spring Semester
  November 27, 2006 TOPS Tech Early Start Portal open to accept spring semester reservations
  February 5, 2007 Schools may submit payment requests for enrolled students
  March 2, 2007 Portal closes and payment processing begins
